New potential medical malpractice law would allow more access to the judicial system
Currently, the medical malpractice compensation cap in California has been stuck at 250,000 for over 45 years, limited victims and their families’ access to the justice system. With a new law currently eligible for voting, if signed into law it could raise the cap to meet inflation standards and allow more families to take on lawsuits and get justice for their medical malpractice cases.
