Spring 2021 begins fully-online, journalism department mourns dead student and Forensics team on their way to nationals
Free local news about your community delivered right to your inbox.
Hello Warriors! The Union is back for the semester, and our website (eccunion.com) is updated daily with El Camino College news. We’re still reporting remotely and will likely remain that way until at least this fall, meaning we do almost all of our work virtually.
This newsletter and the next will include special neighborhood coverage from our reporters that have found members of their community who are facing the burden of the coronavirus pandemic, and shared their stories.
I want to thank you for subscribing to our newsletter and supporting our program, and I hope you enjoy our first issue of the spring 2021 semester.
Warm Regards,
Editor-in-Chief, The Union

A little bit about The Union
The Union is El Camino College’s student-run newspaper and the only local source of news for its college community. Everything published by The Union is done by student journalists. Whether it’s pulling an all-nighter to write human interest stories or push everything aside in order to deliver breaking news, our entire staff works incredibly hard to keep the El Camino community informed.
With the impacts of the coronavirus far-reaching, The Union has expanded its scope of coverage to include countless communities where El Camino College’s students, professors, employees and community members live. This includes more coverage on coronavirus and its impacts on cities including Gardena, Hawthorne, Torrance, Inglewood, Carson, Lawndale, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach.
If you have any comments or questions about this issue of The Union’s newsletter or any of the stories you’ve read, please contact our Editor-in-Chief Molly Cochran by emailing her at molly_cochran@elcamino.edu.
