El Camino journalism department wins several national, statewide awards

Staff from The Union newspaper and Warrior Life magazine recently traveled to national journalism conventions in New York City and Long Beach, where both publications and individual staff members were recognized with numerous awards. Read more.
Completion delayed on Modular Village construction project
By Tina Talley
Despite a winter completion date, efforts are still underway to finalize the construction of the Modular Village located on the south end of campus. Once completed, the site will house the Warrior Pantry, Warrior Closet, Wellness Center, and a dance and Pilates studio in individual buildings. Read more.

Art students from Germany unveil mural in El Camino College Art Gallery
Students from the University of Fine Arts Münster, Germany unveiled their vibrant new mural in the Art Gallery, Monday, March 17. The Art Gallery partnered with the Experimentally Structured Museum of Art extension to present the students’ mural as part of ESMoA’s “Stations” exhibition. Read more.
Art Gallery hosts free art workshops at El Camino College
Collage, screen-printing, pin-back buttons, and papier-mâché are some of the workshops available in the Art Gallery this semester. The workshops are free and open to both students and the public. Read more.

Men’s baseball keeps rolling in match against LA Harbor
The Warriors baseball team pulls away late in the bottom of the eighth inning to move their win streak to six games at Warrior Field on Thursday, March 13. Right fielder Matt Hammond was perfect at batting, having five hits in five attempts for the Warriors, giving the team momentum when winning over the LA Harbor Seahawks. Read more.
