Much like El Camino College and CDC officials have suggested, The Union believes that vaccinations are the strongest defense against the novel coronavirus. However, it is ultimately the choice of each individual if they want to be vaccinated against COVID-19, a choice that should not come at the expense of anyone’s education. Read more.

Students and faculty have discussed the need for masks in indoor settings across campus with the drawback of local and national COVID-19 restrictions. The college continues to keep its mask mandate in place despite recent moves from local colleges rescinding their local mask policies. Read more.
Enrollment issues continue at El Camino College
El Camino is currently experiencing a stark drop in enrollment numbers for both in-person and online classes. The college has put into place multiple programs to help boost enrollment for the coming years ahead. Read more.
Extra laptops for loaner program approved at El Camino College

The El Camino College Board of Trustees approved a measure to purchase additional laptops for the student loan program out of the Library. The approval came after an increase in student demand for laptops caused the program to run out of stock. Read more.
Vice President of Student Services set to retire from El Camino College

El Camino football team tops Bakersfield College at first home game

The Warriors football team took the field at Murdock Stadium for the first time during its 2022-’23 season on Saturday, Sept. 10 despite a postponed season opener game. The Warriors defeated the Bakersfield College Renegades 30-20 and will play on the road against Ventura College on Sept. 17 Read more.
