Future construction could wipe out parts of Lot L, officials say

El Camino College officials are planning to construct new buildings that will take up parts of Parking Lot L, starting in early 2023. The 38 new campus construction projects will have a budget of $267 million, funded by capital funds. Read more.

Tuition-free classes continue for winter and spring 2023 semesters

Tuition-free classes will continue to be offered during the winter and spring 2023 semesters for all currently enrolled students at El Camino College. The Tuition Relief Program was previously made available to students during the summer and fall semesters. The program is returning to help students alleviate their financial burdens. Read more.

Environmental justice art exhibit showcases change through collaboration

“Edith Abeyta: Below Our Feet and Above Our Heads: Fenceline Resistance From Pennsylvania to California” at the El Camino College Art Gallery hosted its campus reception on Nov. 30, followed by a public reception on Saturday, Dec. 3. Students participated in creating art pieces to promote social change at the Environmental Justice Art Exhibit. Read more.
Community competes to build the best robots

El Camino College’s Industry & Technology Division hosted a Robotics Exhibition gathering the community to see the inventions of students and employees on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Over five inventors showcased their projects, as well as a project board that featured the purpose and design process for creating each robot. Read more
