El Camino linebacker Lando Brown broke the all-time record for career sacks during a conference game against Chaffey College at Murdock Stadium and Featherstone Field on Saturday, Nov. 5. Brown finished the game with 2.5 sacks for a total of 19-yards lost. Read more.

With the passing of California Proposition 31, flavored tobacco products are now banned throughout the state. Local business owners that rely on the products could face hard times as they’ll have to remove the products off their shelves. Read more.
Job opportunities prioritized at State of the College address

Student government hosts the first Homecoming Carnival since the pandemic
El Camino College’s Homecoming “CarniFall” was a tailgate event preceding the Warriors homecoming football game that featured free food, carnival games, giveaways and prizes on Nov. 5. The event marked the first homecoming festival to take place since pandemic restrictions were lifted. Read more.

The Union’s Assistant Copy Editor Anthony Lipari makes a case for El Camino College to consider therapy cats as part of the Active Minds Club therapy dog event. Studies have shown cats can be just as therapeutic as dogs and have unique benefits that are just as effective. Read more.
