CW show ‘All American’ returns to film at El Camino

Production crews from the CW series “All American” transformed El Camino College into Golden Angeles University for more filming of the current fifth season. The crew is scheduled to shoot another scene for the show today, March 16 and tomorrow, March 17, with details still being worked out. Read more.
Cherry Blossom Festival brings the storm indoors

On a rainy Wednesday, the Social Justice Center hosted the 23rd Annual Cherry Blossom festival to the reverberating sounds of drums indoors. In spite of the iron grey clouds overhead, the cherry blossom trees outside the Social Justice Center were in full bloom. Read more.
El Camino athlete and aspiring firefighter dies at 21

El Camino College baseball player and aspiring firefighter Cameron Schneider died at the age of 21. Hailing from Peninsula High School, Schneider played baseball at El Camino and was on track to follow in his family’s footsteps to go into firefighting. This is a developing story. Read more.

Santa Barbara men’s volleyball stamps out El Camino
El Camino College’s injury-plagued men’s volleyball team dropped their fourth straight game in a difficult matchup against the Santa Barbara Vaqueros on March 15, extending its losing streak. With multiple players off the court, the Warriors have been struggling to compete as a unit. Read more.

El Camino swimmer freestyles her way to breaking records
On Saturday, Feb. 25, Park took first place in the women’s 1650m freestyle and the women’s 400m individual medley race, becoming the second fastest in El Camino’s history in both races. From Japan to South Korea and later to the U.S., Park has been setting records in the pool after being on the women’s swim team at El Camino for six months. Read more.
