A note from our Editor-in-Chief:
It’s okay to look at your calendar and wonder how much more of your life will be impacted by the coronavirus. I’ve done that. A lot of my peers and friends have done so as well. This is a time of a lot of uncertainty and unknowns.
During this time, you might find yourself making some big decisions or perhaps some small decisions. Some students are worried about transferring to a four-year university in the middle of a pandemic. Other students are worried about supporting their families. No matter where you see yourself right now, we at The Union have made the decision to continue to serve you. Amidst what has been a stressful time for us students as well, we continue to value the importance behind the work we do and the power behind your stories.

A little bit about The Union
The Union is El Camino College’s student-run newspaper and the only local source of news for its college community. Everything published by The Union is done by student journalists. Whether it’s pulling an all-nighter to write human interest stories or push everything aside in order to deliver breaking news, our entire staff works incredibly hard to keep the El Camino community informed.
With the impacts of the coronavirus far-reaching, The Union has expanded its scope of coverage to include countless communities where El Camino College’s students, professors, employees and community members live. This includes more coverage on coronavirus and its impacts on cities including Gardena, Hawthorne, Torrance, Inglewood, Carson, Lawndale, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach.
