Student fees fund stipends for Associated Students Organization members

A new stipend system, funded by student fees, will be used to pay El Camino College’s Associated Students Organization members. The overall budget for the stipends is $22,000 for the fall and spring semesters. Payments will range from $150 to $350, depending on the position. Read more.
EOPS trying to raise number of participants since the pandemic

The Extended Opportunity Program has seen a decrease in students since the pandemic. Many classes, programs, workshops, and resources were pushed online due to the pandemic causing a decrease in participation from students around Los Angeles County at community colleges and universities. Read more.
Hit-and-runs reported to El Camino College Police

Techies of “Pride & Prejudice”
Behind the scenes of the fall play “Pride and Prejudice,” technical theatre crew controlled elements of the production including hair, makeup, lighting, scenic design and sound. Read more.
El Camino College Symphony Orchestra delivers powerful, classic melodies
The ECC Symphony Orchestra is a college and community orchestra that performed on Dec. 3. Conducted by Joanna Medawar Nachef, the orchestra performed several classic pieces, ranging from Tchaikovsky to Beethoven. Read more.
Blast from the past: ECC cosmetology students showcase their skills in a parade of vintage styles

Students of the El Camino cosmetology department showcased their looks on Dec. 5 in the Campus Theatre. Each student designed and coordinated elements of their look, including hair, makeup and outfit, to match a certain decade. Read more.

Explore human origins at El Camino’s Anthropology Museum

The ECC Anthropology Museum showcases the evolution of humanity throughout time with a colorful collection that features hand axes, intricate African masks, and replicas of ancient ancestor bones. This museum is used as a studying and learning resource for students. Read more.
Choreography event showcases ECC dancers from all genres and levels of expertise

Hosted by the dance department at El Camino College, dancers coordinated and designed their own jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop, and contemporary dances. This was a culmination of all the students' hard work and dedication to dance throughout the semester. Read more.
