Proposal to rename the Board Room after late Board President Kenneth Brown
The Board of Trustees is considering renaming the Board Room where meetings take place to the “Kenneth A. Brown Board Room. The proposal was made by Andrea Sala, the executive director of the El Camino College Foundation after being approached by people in the community. Read more.
Muratsuchi, Iino re-elected in 2024 general election
Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi, who represents California’s 66th Assembly District and Kelsey Iino, who serves on the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees for Seat 7 were re-elected last Tuesday during the general election. Muratsuchi and Iino are faculty members at El Camino – the Assemblyman teaches political science, while Iino serves as a counselor for the Fine Arts, Nursing, Athletics and MANA programs at the college. Warriors football team execute comeback against Ventura, clinch National Northern League title

Down 21 points, El Camino executed a comeback over the Ventura Pirates at Featherstone Field on Nov. 9. A defensive effort by El Camino’s football team on the last play in overtime, paired with a four-touchdown performance by running back Jaden Moore led to the Warriors securing their first league title since 2018.
